We've partnered with Flip the Table, Toledo's first board game lounge, to bring an exciting new chess night to the community!

Come out and play with fellow chess enthusiasts in a fun, relaxed setting. To kick things off, we're hosting a three-round, rated Swiss tournament. Anyone can participate - not just scholastic players! - and no previous tournament experience is required. All you need is a U.S. Chess Federation membership (https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess) and a love for the game. Advance registration is strongly preferred!

Tournament Details:​

Time: 6-9:30 p.m.
Format: Three-round Swiss; one half-point bye is available with advance notice to tournament director
Sections: We'll aim for multiple sections - the exact number and parameters will depend on the number of entries. Players will be divided according to their published US Chess ratings.
Time Control: G/25, d5 (25 minutes per side with a five-second delay before the clock starts each move)
Entry Fee: $15 (note that there is also a $5 cover charge payable at the door to Flip the Table)
